Jeff resides and is originally from NE Ohio…he studied economics and computer science at Youngstown State University while pursuing concert piano which he still enjoys today. His experience includes 20 years in marketing with large corporations for which he traveled through every US state and points beyond. He is a certified CEU instructor for IDCEC, the real estate and the legal community.

Jeff graduated from The Reppert School of Auctioneering where he studied under Indiana Senator Dennis Kruse. He considers himself a “new-era auctioneer”…using the latest technology and marketing techniques to create successful auctions.

In 2005 ByceAuction purchased the former Time Warner building and completed over $150,000 in renovations. The Byce Auction Gallery features LCD projection and computerized accounting. The gallery allows for the sale of higher-end items, detailed appraisals, internet auctions, staging, repair and restorations. 

In 2007, due to the explosive growth of real estate at auction, ByceAuction began an affiliation with Coldwell Banker First Place Real Estate resulting in the Presidents Award for four consecutive years. In 2009, Jeff was also selected as one of the top 10 Realtors in Ohio by the Ohio Association of Realtors. In 2011, Jeff Byce obtained his brokers license and now heads ByceAUCTION & REALTY.

Jeff is a member of the local and National Boards of Realtors and the Ohio and National Auctioneers Associations. He is a trustee circle member of the Butler Museum of American Art, a board member of Animal Charity and a Youngstown Rotarian.

Jeff believes that the successful auction is simply a logical conclusion to an innovative marketing plan. He creates an atmosphere of total reassurance and an easy to understand auction process to create a win/win for both seller and buyer. His goal is to change most perceptions of what an auctioneer is and does. He believes that the auction process is the “social determination of value” and will become the predominate way that real estate and property will be sold in the future!
